Dungeon 14 Turn 0

————

Ricki and her courageous companions opt to wait for the monstrous lizard to depart the cavern once more, so that they might explore while it busies itself with its predations. If they are swift, they may well be able to locate both sufficient fortune and the source of these unnatural beings before the monarch of this place ever returns.

Standing in their way, however, is an unknown number of fanatic zealots and lesser squamates. What forms shall their adversaries wear? What terrible weaponry shall they wield? What—

…Hmm?

Ricki decides to ignore the dwarven maiden (distracting though her beauty might be) at this time.

The rough crevice leads into a carefully carved subterranean facility. The entryway is easily spacious enough to accommodate the mighty frame of the one Ricki chose to dub King. It would be a challenge to escape from the beast should it return, and so she refocused on her goal within this dungeon.

To disrupt the production of this place would only be to the good; if it could be discovered how these creatures were produced, removing that capacity would no doubt stymie the dragon tamers’ efforts for years to come. On a more daring path lay the possibility of destroying the King itself. Surely it was the pride of this place, if not its absolute master, and so its removal, too, would qualify as a great success.

But could it be done? Time alone would tell.
