Lara finished a dungeon! She can gain one new ability from this list:
Antivenom I: Once per dungeon can restore 2 HP to a nearby living creature that was damaged by poison on the current or previous turn.
Cloth Proficiency: +1 Def when wearing armour with no base Def bonus, or when wearing no armour.
Drider Bite I: Deal +2 poison damage when attacking unarmed.
Drink Poison I: Once per dungeon can consume carried venom to recover HP equal to its damage.
Frenzy I: Can make an attack at +1 Atk, but target is chosen randomly between those in the area.
My Pretties: When an owned pet deals poison damage it deals +1 poison damage.
Poison Use: Can use venom when attacking.
Spider Sense: +1 Atk and Def against spiders.
Venomous Sting II: Makes a ranged attack that deals 2-3 poison damage.

Let’s be honest. Shroom go boom. Our only other options are Cloth Proficiency or Poison Use. But this one we’re more likely to put to good use.
My Pretties
We have tons of shrooms for Lara to take into every dungeon if she wants to. Increasing their UNBLOCKABLE explosion to 2 damage on death is very big. This is also core to her god tier EXPLOSION TANK build.
Drider Bite.
Buffing her attack in Tank mode would have been helpful this dungeon when she couldn’t use her sword.
Bite is like a 1 hand, 0 enc, 2 atk weapon. Thats 1 better than common, same as siegesword before enchantments. Would be really good at higher levels, but do we want to use Lara that much?
Also it’s hard to aquire damage without weapons, so she’ll be capped at 10 (12 with gold rings)
Drider Bite I is like a 0 hand, 0 enc, 2 atk weapon, and since it has a “I” at the end there will presumably be a “II” with +3 poison damage and a “III” with +4 poison damage so it has development potential. One limitation is that a fair number of enemies are immune to poison damage.
We know that only a character with the Dual Wield ability (like Amadeusz) can benefit from two weapons, but what about two shields? Since the Bite is presumably a 0 hand weapon, does that mean that Lara could equip TWO shields in tank mode for an insane Def?
Regarding using Lara in future dungeons, unless a dungeon is described as being fairly easy and we can afford to take a group of three ‘weak’ characters like Mac, Lokh, and Botanya (or insert Coccyx in any of those positions), we will need to bring at least one of the powerful fighters (Kamau, Lara, Amadeusz) each time. Amad is Sketchy (prevents other characters from gaining Bond) and once Kamau’s Bond is maxed out (2 more), he’ll be in the same situation as Lara. Once we see what Ix the elemental (Ixthelemental?) can do, we’ll know if they can potentially fill the role of a powerful fighter in a lineup… unless the GM does the same thing that they did with Amadeusz where we don’t get to see their character sheet until AFTER we’ve included them in a party lineup.
Lara is a unique character in our available group in that that she’s a good fighter with no real weaknesses, unlike Kamau’s Remorse and Amadeusz’ much-despised Sketchy, so we’ll probably be using her several times again because we don’t really have many other good options for filling the role of a front line fighter/tank.
Frenzy I.
Frenzy could kill a party member who’s low on HP. Quoting Claudious from the T12 Lara Level Up:
As long as Amadeusz is a viable target, I’m game.
Given how good all upgrades Lara has left to pick are.
I think it’s time to ask ourselves if we should use her ever again when there are other characters with better upgrades. (finall dungeon of game being special case obviosuly, im not suggesting we have Lara skip that, just untill then)

I wonder if death-spores-poison-explosion counts with MyPretties? That would… increase our mushie rotation significantly.
It’s poison damage being dealt by the pet, it should work.
Antivenom I. So versatile. I don’t see us going more than 5 turns without using it for the rest of the dungeons
Spider Sense, it works against all spiders for the whole dungeon, while Antivenom only works once per dungeon.
I must say there is a significant gap in how Lara’s been fighting so far and how her upgrade options suggest she should be fighting.

Night Eyes: +1 Atk in rooms with no light.
Poison Proficiency: +1 damage when dealing poison damage
Poison Resistance III: +6 Def against poison.
Skeptic: -1 Def when wielding or wearing an item associated with a god.
Spored: Counts as a mushroom.
Subdue Spider ⯃: Causes one enemy spider in the room to become a pet for the remainder of the dungeon if possible, otherwise it merely becomes docile.
Venomous Barrage ⯃: Makes a ranged attack that deals 8 poison damage.
Venomous Sting I: Makes a ranged attack that deals 2 poison damage.
Web Binding ⯃: Makes a ranged attack against one enemy that gives it -3 to Atk and Def. This penalty is reduced by 1 at the end of each turn.
Web Walls ⯃: Covers all walls of the current room with webs, allowing allies to climb them and reach any location regardless of height. Lasts for the duration of the dungeon.
