Dungeon 13 Turn 31
————
Ricki joins the fight, mounts her girlfriend (settle down, you), and she and Lara climb up the wall together and attack the justiciar. Between the two of them and Amadeusz’ use of the final crowstone, the justiciar falls to the ground defeated, dropping 15 gold coins as a result of the use of midas gloves (but they can’t be picked up yet while combat is still going). Amadeusz gets blasted again for another 1 damage, however.
Cordy and their mushrooms knock out another guard. Only one remains.
Plan: Clean up and back to work.
Lara deals with crows (high Def) and opens the way for door unlock and bomb planting on floor.
Amad and Ricki heal up and Cordy finishes off the last guard.
Lara: Move right. Read the note by the chest. Move down the ladder and stand next to the crows.
Lara’s Shrrom: Attack the Firecrow.
Ricki: Get off Lara and Drink the healing potion off the ground. Move right after.
Amad: Eat some meat and scoop up the coins dropped after combat. Move right after.
Cordy & Cordy’s Army: Attack the last guard.
Only Ricky and Lara have 2 moves. We need one of them to go for the torch if we want to plant-the-bomb and if we want to do it quickly. Since Lara is needed for the crows (great idea with the shroom btw), let’s send Ricky now. She has almost nothing to do, and if she goes there from here, she won’t need to cross the rat-tunnel.
Consider changing Ricky to:
Ricki: Get off Lara and Drink the healing potion off the ground. up then right, to the central room.
Next turn (T33) she can start by grabbing the torch and then either move back to bottom-left safely (will arrive at the crows’ room on T34 and will have 1 action to spend), or move via tunnel and tunnel slightly risking the rats, but ending where you wanted her now (will arrive on turn T33 and won’t have actions left, can’t drop the torch, can’t trade, so kinda, same effect, still can bomb the thing at T34, but risks the rats without any point).

alternatively, delay healing, “save” a turn:
Ricki: Get off Lara and run up then right, to the central room, take the torch.
Next turn (T33) she can start moving via tunnel and tunnel slightly risking the rats, but ending where you wanted her now – will arrive there having 1 action left, so we can bomb the thing on T33. Cordy could mend her for 1hp somewhere in between (i.e. on T33), and Amad could pick up the potion (now on T32) and drop it in the right room (now, on T32) so Ricky can drink it on T34.
There’s 2 fire crows. If we really want to bomb the floor, we can use their crowstone.
Yes, but isn’t it simply better to use the torch (putting the lights out at the same time) and save the crow-stones for something else? It’s just changing the order of actions, and we both save the stones and also have the room dark, without wasting actions later when we may need them more.
An alternative to Bomb would be Killing the two Winter wolves and pushing the chest over the weakened floor. Would be faster than running for the torch i think
Huh. I don’t think that an empty chest would overload the floor. If so, then we could simply take two ppl and stomp it. But interesting idea!
To be honest, I’m fixed on the bomb because I believe that placing it on the floor and near the grate-door can save us time by blasting the door as well.
I like the idea, but would be worried it wont open either… Not sure of the blast area
I, uh, also cant edit as I posted this while on phone Data. Woups!
Yea,that happens sometimes.
Stealing Claudious general plan, with a small change to delay the healing and send Ricky for a torch (so we have ‘fire’ and don’t need to waste FireCrowStone just to arm the bomb)
—
this/next turn, T32:
Lara: Move right. Read the note by the chest. Move down the ladder and stand next to the crows.
Lara’s Shrrom: Attack the Firecrow.
Cordy & Cordy’s Army: Attack the last guard.
Amad: Pick up HealingPotion. Scoop up the coins dropped after combat. Move right afterwards. Once there, drop HealingPotion.
Ricki: Get off Lara, move up, then right to the central room. Take torch from the wall.

later, in T33: Amad eats meat. Cordy heals Ricky with WandOfMend. Ricky goes through the tunnel, runs past the rats, and again through the tunnel, meets the team, gets healed by Cordy (+1hp), and (if crows are gone) can bomb the floor with Lara (2 actions needed: arm, plant), or (if crows are still there) can drink the potion (+3hp). Lara either plays with the bomb, or with the crows.
Ricki: Dismount Lara, drink the Greater Potion off the ground and head right.
Lara: Move right. Keep wielding your tower shield and while climbing on the ceiling, go punch one of the Magicrows. Have your shroom punch the one with pretty yellow eyes.
Cordy: Knock out the remaining Guard. Have your shrooms stand on top of the wisp cannister so it can’t easily be opened.
Amadeusz: Loot the gold from the combat, as well as the Justiciar’s plate armor (stow on Golly), and head right. Eat a piece of raw meat.

Just Claud’s plan but forgoing reading the note to guarantee her shroom can attack the crows. And minor edit to Cordy’s move to maybe prevent the guard from pulling a death wisp onto us.
Having Amadeusz grab the plate armor so we can try dropping it on the floor by the Magicrows. Might break it open like the ball & chain in dungeon 1 or the rusty plate armour in the tomb dungeon.
I knew I saw that thin floor somewhere. Thanks! D1T26. Ball-and-chain dropped broke the floor. No need to blast it, we can find a better use for the bomb then. Claudious idea about using a chest to break the floor sounds plausible, too. I haven’t found that moment in the tomb though yet but sounds good too.

Also apparently LSN’s intention was that we drop the chest the was next to the zombie owlbear onto the pit to open it up. So no guarantees, but that’s the idea with pushing the chest by the winter wolves.
Tell the guard that having killed the former justiciar, we are now the new justiciar as the law of the empire states. As his new boss, we command him to hara kiri.
That’s the klingons,not THIS empire.
