Ricki and Kamau attempt to use the barrel as a rolling shield against the dogs, but all three of the canines surge forward at once and knock the barrel away. It seems they really can’t build much momentum rolling it along a flat surface.
The dogs instinctively try to split Ricki and Kamau up, with one dog attacking Ricki and the other two focusing on the larger target. Kamau and Ricki both take 1 damage. Kamau looks frustrated when Ricki gets hurt, and quickly dispatches his opponent with a single strike. Ricki’s dog takes a fair amount of damage as well, but Ricki’s rusty sword shatters. She really has bad luck with mostly-broken equipment.
Ricki: ATTACK
Kamau: Interpose! Prevent Ricki from taking any damage, so we don’t get any more remorse.
The dogs deal 2 damage each, and take 4 damage to kill in a single turn.
Proposal:
Ricki should back away from the fight so she doesn’t get hurt, and let Kamau kill the remaining dogs. He will take 1 damage on the next turn from having 2 dogs attack him, but then only 1 dog will remain and 1 dog cannot pierce Kamau’s defense.
If Ricki stays in the fight, she will take 1 damage, and it is preferable for Kamau to take damage rather than Ricki
Combat happens at the same time, so even if Ricki backs off the dog will still get to deal damage

Hmm, not a suggestion for now (current comment cover my ideas), but we’re going to have to map those holes… I suspect one-to-one shenanigans, and we’ve seen 3, so presumably there’s a fourth in another room. We might want to kit Rikki up first though, and/or test if drinks distract drunks.
Note for future use that we could have Kamau interpose while Ricki sneaks by to do something else. We’ll have to deal with the dogs here though.
I wonder if those three past the glass are drunks.
We may need to check out that lever, though it’ll be risky given the halfling with a crossbow is likely keeping watch (and may attack immediately on entry). It’d be nice to get Ricki that crossbow, though we should see if there’s better armour or a shield around before sending her off on her own.
The lever is in the middle of a pipe and not at a junction, so we shouldn’t need to worry about it switching between paths. Typically a valve in-line with the pipe indicates that the valve is open and allowing fluid to move through, while moving the valve to cross the pipe is what cuts the flow off. We may need to actively shut off the cheap ale.
