Dungeon 12 Turn 48
————
Ricki pulls two clumps of oxymoss off the wall while Amadeusz opens the first of two chests. Inside he finds a pair of golden gloves which the non-werewolf part of his brain finds very interesting.
Lara drops her harpoon, picks up the crab armour, and leaves the room.
Ricki moves to the middle of the well and eats an oxymoss to avoid drowning.
Lara moves all the way to the bottom left room.
Cordy picks up another wishing coin.
…No, it’s not the exact same panel! There’s one less coin!!

MIDAS GLOVES
Accessory
Wielded gold weapons gain +2 Atk and have no break chance. Also, once per dungeon when you defeat or help defeat an enemy, a number of Gold Coins equal to the enemy’s maximum HP drops. Attempting to use this ability but failing to defeat an enemy doesn’t expend the ability.
Weight 1, Cost 40
Lara: Wear that Crab Armour girl. Work it. Head right and pass through the skeletons to possibly distract them. Head left again, swim around and kill one of the Frogs with your Siegesword. Have you shroom attack it as well to try and distract it.
Ricki: Head left, following Lara and attack the other Frog. Have your Shroom help distract it. Also, please Crit it.
Amadeusz: Drop your Cigarettes and loot the other chest. If you need space, drop the raw meat as well. If you need even more space, drop the Fishing Rod.
Cordy: Grab another coin for your wallet.
Can’t Amy just EAT a steak instead of dropping it?
Also, the Reinforced Skeletons ARE wearing (what I believe uis) Plate Armor.Despite being rusted,it might still be worth some money (possibly more than the 8 coins we get from killing a frog).
The Fishing Rod doesn’t feel like something we should drop.At worst,we can just sell it to Paws or use it to catch trout for Lohk if there are any rivers near the Manor.Maybe grab the Harpoon too, because who can say “no” to more weapons?
Amadeusz cant loot the chest and eat meat in the same turn. Rusty Plate is worth 15, so sells for 7.5. Probably not worth going for unless we wanna commit to staying past turn 50 to do a full clear. Fishing Rod is pretty niche and only worth 8. This was the biggest dungeon where it would have been useful and we didnt need it. We keep it only if we have nothing better to bring. Amadeusz can grab the harpoon on turn 50 if we have nothing better to fill our inventory with.
My concern was that the Research Outpost was stated to be extra difficult,& I was hoping we could get atleast 40 coins for 2 Hearty Meals (to avoid the same problems we faced here & get +2HP across the party).
Although,if we bring Kamau & anyone besides him loses 5HP,then the Hearty Meals would be made pointless.
Ricki Loot-Goblin build is gaining more and more items <3
So,does that mean we’ll buy the Skill that gives her +DEF per stack of coins?
Just thinking.. should we maybe heal Cordy, just in case he trips over something? 🙂
Re: gloves – ‘no break chance’ sounds nice. With GoldWarhammer, it would make it +5atk plus all the shiny glory of running around with shiny gold stuff. I wonder if we’d get some gold-god attention of we won a dungeon with all gold stuff on a character.
Anyways, the >ability< sounds like it would regardless of whever we have a gold weapon or not. We still have a few enemies. Why not we use it immeditely? If we kill the >frog< we get 8 coins, kinda for free. Or 5 for puffer that we probably have to kill anyways. And there are three ‘reinforced skeletons’, but only one will count for the ability, and we don’t know their stats – but still we’d get something.
Oh hey. Now that I said that. This ability actually allows us to >learn the MaxHP< of that enemy. Have gloves, kill the thing, then literally just note the number of the coins. So… kill the frog for known 8gp, or kill a skeleton to learn their HP?
Nice observation!Yea 8 extra gold sounds neat.If there’s a Boss Fight in the Research Station,we can get like 20~ coins (plus,if we want to keep the Elementalist ally alive he/she WILL need some items.)
How did you BOLD the text?Another guy explained it to me,but I think it’s a PC-only thing.
Yup. I’m on PC. It’s [B] button right under text editor.
Those gloves are amazing because once per dungeon we’ll be getting data on a an enemy’s actual HP, which should help calculate def as well, without burning a lens.
MONEY!!!
Tiny improvement to Sick’s plan that may get us a free extra ability on Amad.
Lara: Wear that Crab Armour girl. Work it. Head right and pass through the skeletons to possibly distract them. Head left again, swim around and kill one of the Frogs with your Siegesword. Have you shroom attack it as well to try and distract it.

Amadeusz: Smoke up your whole pack of Cigarettes while looting the other chest. If you need more space, drop the raw meat. If you need even more space, drop the Fishing Rod.
Cordy: Grab another coin for your wallet.
I like the way you think.
Is there anything still worth looting? We haven’t gotten a lot of money from this Dungeon. The best we could buy is 2 Hearty Meals for the Research Outpost,& hope we get 300+ worth of coins.
We’re currently at…
Labor: 18
Coins: 3
Crit Gauntlets: 9.5
Crit Greaves: 9.5
Diving Helmet: 15
Harpoon: 7.5
Fishing Pole: 4
For a total of 66.5 gold. We still have 2 chests to loot, 2 gold coins for Cordy to pick up, and Amadeusz could swap the fishing pole for another Harpoon to sell.
Oh,we’re selling the Super Crit Items?Or just the regular Crit Items? We can sell the regular Pkatemail aswell if noone’s going to use it,because Crabplate is just a straight-up upgrade.
And WHY did my question get disliked???It was a decent question!
I don’t think anyone else is nearly as focused as you are on how much money we can make from this dungeon and how many upgrades we can buy afterward. Admittedly, now is not a bad time to make a loot plan, now that we’re (hopefully) two turns away from finally getting out of this godforsaken place. But all the other times you posted about it earlier in the dungeon, when we were struggling just to stay alive, may have left a bad taste in people’s mouths – that was certainly the effect on me, at least (although I didn’t downvote your question).
I’ve read enough Greek mythology to know where this is going. Those Midas gloves are gonna lose all effect once they touch the water. May as well just drop them. Probably only gold plated anyway
I thought you’d say “wear the gloves and scratch your head” or sth
I considered it, but not the head your thinking of. Then I remembered Mike Myers did that bit 20 years ago.
