The sewers, as it turns out, are nothing more than a series of cramped pipes and tunnels, devoid of traps or monsters or any of the other hallmarks of a dungeon. It takes some time, but Ricki and Kamau manage to find an access grate leading to the city streets.
Kamau doesn’t recognize the area, but Ricki knows that they are still in Goldenstone, the same district where she was arrested. The guards in the area will be on alert, so they’ll have to be careful. On the bright side it doesn’t seem that they’ve been followed. Yet.
“So, we’re free, for the moment. Now what are we supposed to do?”
“Heh. First time escaping the law?”
“…Yes.”
“We need to find a place to lay low until the guards get bored of looking for us. Fortunately for you, I have the perfect place! It’s in Goblintown. I’ve got friends there, and the guards probably won’t think to look for you in that part of the city, right?”
“Probably not. At least, not until they’ve ruled out a dozen or so more likely locations, and that could take them weeks.”
“Great! Then we’ll head there! I know some shortcuts to get past the district walls, so it shouldn’t take long.”
“If you’re really sure you want to take the risk of aiding me, then lead the way.”
Down, down to Goblintown it is then.Also, we should pick up, like, a basket or some cloth to cover up the ball from that chain combo, ’cause just carrying it around has got to look super sketchy.
… okay, who or what else came through the sewers and is looking at them like this from below? 😀
But yes, I agree with Grimm, use something to cover up the ball and chain, or else there are bound to be people who remember a one armed man with said ball and chain passing. Not many humans would pay attention to a single goblin, so Ricki probably isn’t used to having to pay attention to this. Maybe, if we find cloth, we could even make the ball and chain look like a baby in swaddles. =) Or put it on Kamau’s back and pretend to have a hump.

Ricki: yes, confirm this, maybe explain that “member of the party” thing to Kamau. He knows about “people caring for each other”, but maybe nobody cared for him for a long time?
Could we please get Ricki something to eat? This malnourished debuff is annoying. Also next time we are in a place with kamau we can immediately unlock his ball and chain. We should keep in mind kamau seems to be a protector type, so fighting in general should be left mostly to him so as to avoid losing him for the rest of the dungeon. Finally, some efforts should be made to have healing items with us. Kamau can carry most, if not all, heal items since he has the space. With any luck, we might get a healer to join the party. That would be quite useful…
Ricki and Kamau: Be careful! Sure, the guards wouldn’t think to look for Kamau in Goblintown under normal circumstances, but wouldn’t it occur to at least one of them that their two missing prisoners might have escaped together? And by “one of them” I mean the guard you double-teamed in broad torchlight in turns 30 and 31, who you left alive.
