Intermission 10 Page 22

After making a final few preparations and saying goodbye to everyone remaining behind, Ricki and her party leave for the next dungeon with Amadeusz leading the way.
Kamau pulls Ricki aside for a conversation while they walk.
“I’m still not sure about this guy.”
“Yeah, everyone keeps telling me to be careful.”
“He dresses like a prince pretending to be a bandit, but from the way he moves I can tell he knows how to fight.”
“If we were the same age, I’m not sure if I could take him.”
“I can’t even tell HOW old he is.”
“I just worry what we could do about it if his intentions aren’t as pure as he claims.”
“Can you see his abilities like you can see mine?”
“No, actually. It’s kind of weird.”
“Usually it starts working once somebody officially joins us.”
“Then we should probably work on finding out what he can do before we have to rely on him in the middle of a dungeon.”
“Yeah, I see your point. I’ll talk to him.”
Oh, shit! Amadeusz has dungeon ears! I guess it’s dungeonearing time.
Didn’t know foxes had echolocation…
His spider-sense is tingling.
I wonder if Amadeusz is some sort of ‘intelligencer’ class. It would certainly explain his uncanny tracking abilities and general savviness, and ‘a prince pretending to be a bandit’ with actual fighting skills weirdly reminds me of James Bond for some reason lmao. Some sort of scouting ability that lets us see into an adjacent room once per dungeon would be great; I was kind of hoping that would be an ability Ricki could unlock somehow.
In any case I fully expect him to be concealing his true power level, no matter what abilities he has (or lacks) on his character sheet when it finally gets revealed to us.
Shouldn’t Ricki have one more thieves tool set in her inventory (the free one she gets from “always prepared”, if she has room)?
Or did a version, where she didn’t take an extra set with her win the vote?
Also Amadeusz seems to look less than impressed with Phoenix. 😀
Edit: added a missing letter.
Ricki might get the tool set when entering page 0 of the dungeon? I don’t remember. – So, we did neither bring a torch nor the owl-wear, because we expect there to be light where guards are, right?
Always Prepared: Starts each dungeon with one Thieves’ Tools if able to carry it.
It doesn’t mean you get one more. It means you get at least one.
This is incorrect. It means you get one more.
