Intermission 6 Page 2

While Macadamia and Lara fill Kamau in on what happened in the dungeon (specifically why the door sealed behind them and couldn’t be opened by any physical means), Ricki ascends the creaking staircase and starts looking for Lohk. Peeking through the doors, she finds that all of the side rooms seem to be in even worse condition than the main ones. A lot of the furniture has rotted into loose piles of wood and fabric. She isn’t sure if this is some side effect of a dungeon transformation, or just an indicator of a leaky roof.

She keeps looking for the master bedroom.

Without the benefit of her Dungeon Eyes, it takes Ricki some time to navigate the manor. In the end she simply follows the muffled cursing coming from inside a wardrobe.

“Lohk, that’s you in there, right? I’m opening the door now!”

“OOF!”

“Good news. I found us something for dinner.”

“Isn’t that the new pet that hatched from the egg you got?”

“Bah, rats don’t hatch from eggs.”

“It looks so cute and friendly. Hi, little guy!”

“Don’t play with your food, Ricki.”
