Dungeon 6 Turn 41
————
Lara checks under the bed and disturbs another centipede. Kind of small potatoes after fighting off that owlbear.
Lohk briefly looks around in the basement.
Ricki and Lohk work together to push the cabinet from the kitchen to the entrance (after all the items fell out of it on the way). They position it under the safe, which should allow anyone to reach the dial and operate the safe without needing a boost from someone else.
Macadamia also joins them after dropping off his new flowers in the kitchen. He has strong opinions about how a kitchen isn’t really a kitchen without some flowers in it. He waits at the top of the room for Ricki and Lohk to join him before they all head somewhere else.
The bat bothers everyone but deals no damage, obviously.
If we do try another combo, I think we should have Lara do it
Lara: Attack the centipede with your great axe.
Lohk: Head upstairs to the living room and search the couch there. Anything (like spare change?) under the cushions/under the couch itself? Anything behind it even though that should be impossible given it moved? Anything weird about it? Head back down to the area above the kitchen afterwards so you’re three moves away from the master bedroom via library rathole.
Macadamia: Go upstairs to the library and grab the lightning scroll. If you can, see if you see any marks from bookshelves moving other than the one we moved.
Ricki: Go upstairs to the library and join Lara in attacking the centipede.
Explanation:
We need a clear path to the rat hole so we can send everybody through without taking damage from the centipede first. Should be set to attack the kidney pincher turn 43. Given that centipedes have 8 hp and 2 defense (per our experience with them earlier) we need someone to back Lara up to insure it dies this turn. That leaves us with two additional actions on two of the smalls. I think grabbing the lightning scroll, an item we KNOW we want to take with us, is a good use of time. We could have someone try a safe combo, but I think it’s safer to wait on that if we try at all given the consequences. We could also have Ricki try to lasso the chest from on top of the cabinet but I’m not sure that’ll work. I’m not super certain there’s anything in the couch, given it already functioned as a block for the greataxe, but it’s maybe at least worth searching for spare gold in the cushions.
Cryptic notes may be hidden there too.
I agree taking an item we KNOW we want to take is a good use of time. So somebody needs to grab the egg. If Lohk still has a slot free after her deep dive on the sofa she should get it on her next turn.
We need all hands on deck for the kidney pincher fight. We will definitely grab the egg, but it probably won’t be until sometime between turn 45 and 50, assuming the kidney pincher fight starts turn 43.
