Dungeon 3 Turn 52
————
Ricki jumps down to the winch room, then heads left to where Kamau is waiting. Except he’s not there waiting, he’s gone back downstairs to do some second-hand scouting with Ricki’s Dungeon Eyes ability.
Kamau can’t see anything, but he gets the sense that the room is starting to get crowded again.
Kam: Pull the lever. Now.
Ricky: Go check the front door. Stop any skeletons from escaping if there are any.
I think after pulling the lever, Kamau can move left and join Ricky. Skeletons either will fall down, or o to the rat, or stay at the top – either way, safe to be left alone here.
Also, for Ricky – totally that. If there are any skeletons, most probably that’s only the small ones, as these would get faster by going under the chandelier. And if we see 4 tall ones here, we know they waited and moved in a group, so that;s even possible that there are none of them in the room to the left.
Btw. can the ‘ominous’ feeling be just that some small skeleton ran away and we failed the side quest?
Not impossible that a skeleton escaped, but turn 8 really suggests that we’d know if the secondary objective failed.
I’m a little worried now that we haven’t seen the complication yet. It might have started up top, which doesn’t bode well for our drow friend. (She just doesn’t know she’s our friend yet.)
The fact that the skeletons climbed up the chandelier makes me think that the skeletons are now back to “clever” like they were with the ghoul pope. When we killed the ghoul it said that the skeletons started to act normal. Could be the ominous feeling is them acting differently now
So.. a kind of a hive mind? getting smarter when in pack of 4+?
Ricki: Avoid the glass! You forgot the patch in that room once already, and there’s more on the way to the entrance.
Ricki: Avoid the glass. Unlock the door to the ashen skeletons, then go down a room and take a look at the entrance.
Kamau: Pull the lever, head left to meet up with Ricki.
Shame, skeletons weren’t blocked by the chandelier (destroying the lectern would probably change that). Looks like 4 skeletons over the last 20 turns, I’d be surprised if any small skeletons continued to the entrance since there’s nothing stopping these skeletons from continuing on. I do feel like destroying that ghoul basically prevented any escapees in the timeframe of our delve.
It’s canonical, Dungeon Eyes let Ricki see her allies and their room at a distance.
If there’s nothing at the entrance, then perhaps it’s time to send Kamau running over to grab that bow and take a look at the courtyard. We do have confirmation Kamau can’t use a bow (turn 30), but knowing the stats is useful and maybe the bow has a name on it.
