Dungeon 3 Turn 36
————
Kamau and Ricki swap weapons, which allows Ricki to finish off the dog she’s targeting while Kamau can still smash the remaining one in a single hit.
They then inspect the dubious ledges in this room. Neither of them would be able to swing down from this ledge to the one below by themselves, but Kamau could lower Ricki no problem. Jumping from all the way up here down to the level with the winch might hurt, but not too badly.
Furthermore, Kamau could indeed lift Ricki up through the hole above, and she could then climb up unless there was some currently-unseen obstacle. Or he could lift her from the ledge with the fly up to the current ledge.
Finally, someone could jump down from the right side of the hole in the room above (again assuming no obstacles) and land on the ledge where the pair currently stand.
They also note that the sunhead doesn’t seem to currently be firing at them just for standing on this ledge.
I think peeking at the room above will Really help us plan ahead. We could also get the empty chest and see if Kamau can use it to follow Ricki. Depending on what we find above, bypassing this room might be best.
Kamau: lift Ricki up to the next floor. Move to the room on the left afterwards.
Ricki: move up to the next floor with Kamau’s help.
I think peeking above might risk us some remorse, which is the big worry? But I think most likely we should be fine, so far just popping up in a scene doesn’t hurt us.
Hrm, no painless way for Kamau to get into this room just yet. Not going to send Ricki down alone either, enemies are too nasty. Definitely get Dungeon Eyes on the next (last?) room, then we can consider having Kamau jump. I’m expecting falling damage will be unblockable, like trap damage. It also “might” hurt, so maybe there’s a chance to roll with the fall and take no damage. Spending 1 HP doesn’t sound too bad, though then Kamau’s stuck until we figure out a way back.
Depending on what we find up there, I’d be open to Ricki popping back down to unlock a door so Kamau has something to do while she’s working. Of course, Kamau could always head down to the entrance and smash any skeletons that threaten to escape. There’s three moves between the entrance and here, though, which takes a while.
